I bought the hpi carbon fiber brakes a few weeks ago, and they worked fine, but now they are starting to stick. they wont dissengage, any one have this problem? I'm going to clean them up good tonight and see how it goes from there

Well in order to properly help you we need to know how it is sticking at the pads??? Is it possibly a servo/ linkage problem. If it is at the pads and disc I suggest roughing it up with a little bit of sand paper possibly. In the linkage department there is a few things you could do Obviously play with the linkage itself or move the armature that actuates the brake up and down a little to find the proper adjustment.

its the silver piece that pushes on the brakepads, it pushes out and applies pressure, but doesn't go back in.

also, off topic, but when i drive in thick grass, i have very low top speed, I'm thinking because it shifts gears veryearly and it can't get the RPM's up high enough. think i should try adjusting the shift point?

Hmmm well if it doesn't go back in that has to be a problem with one of two things. Linkage adjustment may very well be in order. Also how tight are the screws holding down the brake calipers. They should be tight enough to make that go back to normal position. Ummm just a thought if your brakes are sticking could this be why you have a low top speed??

i know some of its due to the brakes, but its just in grass that it likes to putt around
