I just traded my E maxx for a savage 4.6 and the breaks realy suck. They are loose and i dont think they should be that way. is there a way to tighten the two disks and or make the brakes work better?

I would also like to know the cheapest place to buy bodys.

i would realy like your say on this.

There's an adjustment knob at the end of the brake linkage, to the left of the servo.

If you enlarge the pic you can see the linkage going through the servo arm, then to the left there's a spring, and to the left of that is the adjustment knob that adjusts the brake linkage.
If you have a computer radio you can adjust the end points of that servo to give you more or less braking.

I used a piece of fuel tubing between the that knob and the arm to take up most of the linkage slack on the brakes. Too much will make the brakes drag so be careful there. A stronger servo will help braking a lot too.

As for bodies, really with shipping added it's better to just buy at your lhs than order on-line unless you can find an individual selling a nip cheap.

as already stated a stronger quicker servo will help alot, and the adjustment knob.
but also check the trim on your controller, may be turned to far one way to keep your carb open

I think i fould the problem.....

First of all thanks for the advice.... I think the diff. is slipping and the brakes are working but only on the back two tires So it slides. The 4 wheel drive is not working eather. Do you think it is the diff. or something elso? The dog bones all look good and the 4 wheel drive will work a bit. but hardly any power to the front tires!

ok i also have a savage 4.6 and it does not brake at all. i turned the servo on and applied the gas works fine but when i hit the opposite direction to make it brake the are none it just rolle forward plz help

Without starting the engine, work the trigger while checking the linkages all the way to the brakes. At some point you'll see why they are not working or traveling the full distance.

the throttle opens all the way but the brakes arnt being applyed all the way the servo isnt pushing the the lever that alows the throttle to open and to brake go all the way back

Yes. It's there to adjust the brakes to your liking. Start turning it down. The more you close on the spring, the more braking you will have. Just make sure that they also release fully and do not drag.

try takeing the servo horn off the servo and see if the servo moves into the brake possition without the servo horn on u might have to adjust the postion of the servo horn.that is what the linkage connects to and gets bolted to the servo incase u did not no.the brake arm going to the brake cam can be adjusted to disconect the brake linkage and pust the brake lever and see if you have brakes if not u have bad brakes if it has brakes it is in the linkage or servo hope this helps
