RC Driving Style
Haveing to many metal part on your rc will cause interferants (as I have read). As anyone thaught about dipping there part (Like the the stuff they use on electrical tools that you can buy @ homedepot or lowes). Wondering if this would reduce the interferants by insulating the parts? What do you thing? Ihave only seen yellow or red dipping colors but that could not be to bad? Wonder how it would work on the gears? I know it would be tighter but wonder if there would be less wear and longer life?

What do you think?
 
It's really the metal to metal contact coupled with vibration that causes RF interference. The M-M vibrating causes the parts to generate a low intensity broadband RF signal. That's what interferes. Also, don't drive or fly near welding shops, the arc welders generate a pretty powerful RF field that goes a good ways.
 
But what about coating the parts that rub together? It have to help I would thing. No?
 
I guess you could try it, but the coating on some places might not allow for fully tightening parts (like screws). Loose contact areas It probably would help (like on throttle and brake linkages).

Try it out and let us know if it helps.
 
That is the hard part trying it out! Wife hates these RCs. Says they cost so much money! Try to tell her how much fun they are! Doesn't work!
 
On my TMaxx, where my roll cage sits on the chassis I coated all of that in Plasti-Dip. It helped keep down vibration and rubbing the anodizing off of the chassis.
But, like said above it would not be a good idea in some places because the coating of the parts won't allow for a proper fit. Just think about what you're going to coat before you do it.

I got mine into the hobby. Of course she now wants a Savage too. I am starting her off with an old electric, RC10 to be exact. It's in need of a lot of TLC but it's good for her to learn the basics of car control. Maybe after that I'll get her into nitro.
