Will it be any threat to my bp diffs on flux hp if I crank down on the slipper clutch all the way?

Maybe not the diffs but the rest of the drive line. I would suggest leaving a little bit of slip in it just to keep from shelling something. Not sure where the weak link will be but you will be bound to find it.

Yeah definitely be carefull tightening that down all the way, last time i did exactly that i blew my tranny instantly, stripped out gears, after punching the gas for about the second time....

i run mine as tight as it'll go with big joe's on my savage xl and my x with losi aftershock wheels and tires and havent had a problem with either one, I jump em and run full tilt almost all the time because savage is THE toughest truck out there. All i seem to go through is clutch shoes a little more but I got a great deal on some integy ones and bought like 10 sets so I'm good for a long time now. Maybe I'm lucky but so far so good.

Ok that is great but he was talking about a Flux which has WAY more torque than your X or XL. Trust me on this. I have three Savages as well...two nitros and a Flux HP. The nitros can't touch the power of the brushless. If you are running everything tightened all the way down you are looking at a matter of time before you break something. But it is your RC and I can't tell you what to do with it but it is appreciated if you don't give advise that is not the greatest to others.

Well yanno what frickenjoey I was stating what I have mine set at and never told him to tighten it all the way did i there bud? He was asking about BP diffs and slipper settings, all i was saying is what i have mine set at it's 2 yrs old and no problems at all yet other than clutch shoes so get yer facts straight before ya start flappin yer gums

I think what you were trying to say is "You Know What" but not really sure. I speak standard English not text message language thanks. Ok, you did not tell him to do it directly however, by endorsing it....it's the same thing. If you say this is what I do and it's great is the same thing. It is putting out the idea to someone that might not know better than to disregard all manufacture recommendations and good ideas of 99% of the populace. You are putting out information that could be damaging to someone's RC. If I EVER do this I do it WITH a disclaimer saying this may not be a good idea. Oh yeah, want to know why you are going though so many clutch shoes or can you figure it out? Yes he was asking about slipper settings...you came in and as you so eloquently put "flappin yer gums" and said
i run mine as tight as it'll go
which I am sure anyone with real experience will agree with me is a bad idea. So get YOUR facts straight before you give advise. It is better to give no advise than bad advise. **Though for the day** Why do ALL RC manufactures other than toy grade put slipper clutches on their RC's if it is not needed? Hmmm.... I wonder

all i will say here is, slipper clutches are there for a reason. i'll also add, i usually tighten mine all the way down too. i like my stuff to wheelie, however i would never recomend it and have had to beef up every transmission i ever had. with upgrades such as aluminum or steel idlers, also upgraded cvd's, etc.. they seem to hold up well now. i haven't hurt a tranny in a long time.

i take that back, i have a duratrax evader bx with a hpi 5700kv brushless setup. i have to replace the ball differential in it frequently if i run it a lot the little holes that hold the balls in the diff gear seem to twist out into one big hole lol

this would prob. be avoided if i loosen the slipper, i might one day.... i haven't ran it in a long time.

Just because you gave crappy advise, and someone called you out on it, dont mean you gotta just come up here with your panties in a twist and start talking crap. You were wrong. You gave bad advise, which is actually against site rules, so chill the hell out.

Hey thanks Alpine...the one guy who hates Asshats more than me. You have to deal with a ton more of them than me. I was trying to be diplomatic about it but some people don't understand tact I guess.

It would not bother so much if they would at least sound half intelligent when brow beating me. It's better than sounding like a 12 year old 7 grade drop out that learned to spell from texting on his moms cell phone. It is your native language, have some pride in yourself and learn to use it properly and stop promoting to the intellectual decay that plagues our country.

Alpine's been reported for swearing and I'm not even going to bother with you Joey, I never said for him to tighten it all the way. I said what I run mine at, and that I havent had a problem with it yet. I see Civic stated that he ran his tightened all the way too so you better get the lynch mob out for him as well. Really thought this site was ok till my run in with you two. Dele my account please.

Genensis7.7....Yes but if you notice Civic also said he knows it is not a good idea to do it and does not suggest that people do it. You on the other hand made it sound like that is the thing to do.
i run mine as tight as it'll go
You were supporting the idea of just smoking it down and forgetting about the conciquncises of it. Ok so you want to refuse the fact you gave bad info by saying I never actually SAID to do it. This is true but what you did do was endorse disregaurding of manufactores advise. Want a definition of that? Sanction, support, or approval; as, the indorsement of a rumor, an opinion, a course, conduct. By saying that is what I do and I have no problems it IS THE SAME AS TELLING THEM TO DO IT! We all occasionally toss something out that is incorrect. If some calls me on it or corrects me. Ok fine I am human...you however are too much of a child to admit you were wrong.
TotheMaxx was asking for good advise to prevent potential damage....you knowing gave bad advise. Don't worry Alpine and I will put our warnings with the rest of the stack we have from dealing with clowns like you. Not even going to bother with me....ROLF...have a great time at the Traxxas forum. If you don't have anything but bad advise to give....maybe you should leave.
And have a nice day:farting:

If I said tighten it down you'll be fine then thats bad advice, I said (I) run mine as tight as it will go, all you want is a fight and life's too short to deal with **** heads like you. There was nothing in my original post that was advice or telling him what to do I was simply stating how I run my truck and thats it.

Yes and by saying it to someone who might think you know what you are talking about it is the same as telling them to do it so yes you are wrong. And nice language....I am qouting you so you can't edit it back out.

No how you run it is up to you. I can honestly care if you use it for cliff diving. However, the issue at hand that you can't seem to grasp the concept of is by you saying THIS IS HOW I DO IT is the same thing as telling a person to do it. If you are I do it incorrectly as per the guidance given by the maker of the vehicle there is not difference to tell him to actually do it. Let me give you an overly extreme example of this. If two people are fighting in a parking lot and you said to the one guy "I would kill him if he did that to me" If the guy you said it to does kill the dude... you are now an accessory to murder. Sure, you did not striaght TELL him to do it but you endorsed the idea. Are you understanding this or do I need to break it down to a lower level so maybe you can understand it better? Someone can take what you said and use ...you know what this is pointless you are obviously too much of a child to understand.

You can't fix stupid....you can try all you want but you just can't fix it.

You are about as retarded as they come arent you? Oh no!! I said ****... awwwww. Go away. Your stupid, and no one likes you. You tell people to do stupid ass stuff with their vehicles that will do nothing but break them, and discourage new people from comming to his hobby. You lasted longer than some of the idiots that dont last here. You ask to delete you account, but then wont shut the hell up......

So if I say I run Picco engines, Proline boddies and Axial tires does that mean he should run out and do the same or any one else for that matter??? it's called CHOICE that's how I choose to run my truck he will choose to run his the way he wants to in the end regardless of what you two so called expert's can't seem to grasp!!! So you two should go into every thread and check every post on what and how people run their equipment and rag on them for giving advice when they are clearly not, I never claimed to know much about these little money pits and would never tell anyone how to run them at any time.
