Bought a New Mill!

I was searching eBay for Traxxas stuff, and they had a brand new 2.5 for auction, comes with carb and everything else, and it was sitting at 66.00 with 30 minutes to go. So I bid $110 and it closed at $104! All I’ll have to do is transfer my pull-start and break it in!

While I do realize the 3.3 is only about 50 bucks more, I like this route because now I get to keep my core engines for rebuilding if I want, and not have to worry about busting parts with all that extra power. I think the 2.5 is just fine for me at this stage.

Now I’m excited!

dummy the 3.3 is 110 at my lhs and they over prcie stuff. its on the ERP but still.

that came off a little mean. you should't have bid it above 85. cause thats what a new 2.5 is with the ERP

LMAO, you can get a new 3.3 on ebay for $95. Thats $8 cheaper than that old 2.5

Well, live and learn I guess LOL! I'm still excited, though. My LHS wanted 150.00 WITH exchange, so I just kinda figured that was industry standard.

Oh well, no takebakeys on eBay hahaha!

Never trust your LHS. Always assume that they cater to the casual non-educated hobbiest unless you personally know better.

Good advise, i was at my LHS yesterday, and this guy bought a Traxxas Summit, 2 batter packs and a charger for $715. I know i could have gotten the same deal on ebay for $125 less.

I will keep this in mind! I saw what I thought was an OK deal and jumped on it, because I want to play with my rig - in the future, I will be more cautious and do more eBay research LOL!
