i have had some problems with the reciever and on/off switch.
my on/off switch just broke a couple of days ago and i dont really want to buy a new one. any suggestuins on what i should do?

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with Borken electronics. I use JR, Spektrum or Futaba electronics on most of my stuff.

If you don't want to buy a new switch, plug the battery pack into the receiver. Just remember to pull the plug when you want to turn it off.

That should teach you to stay away from no-name brands like Borken. :D

so i heard that you can do something to the wires and take out the swith and connect certain wires and then you are ok? do you know any thing about this?

If the swith is a Borken you can remove the entire swith harness and plug the battery pack directly into the receiver.
 
i saw some vids on how to do it and i dont know exactly what wires to connect and i dont want to get the wires mixed up. so can you tell me what wires to connect? if you can?
 
You really should replace the swith as soon as you can, but for now, disconnect both leads on the harness, one to the battery pack, and the other to the receiver. Remove the entire swith assembly and plug the battery into the marked battery receptacle on the receiver.
In the future, don't use Borken swiths, but get a JR or a Futaba.
 
Haven't seen the vids but Rolex is right, of course, but psyco is saying the wire on his battery, from the cradle, is too short to reach the Rx, right?

So, solder in a patch chord in between. Cut the battery cable in half, and solder (with your FORKEN soldering iron!!!) in a length that'll get ya home.
 
If you don't want to bother with your Borken forken soldering iron, you just pick up an extension wire at the LHS. It will plug into your receiver, and the other end will plug into the connector coming from your battery pack.
 
I have gotten rid of most all on/off switches that i could. If it is an electric rig, then you can just cut the two wires off of the switch, and connect them together, thus bypassing the switch completly, and just turn's it on when you plug your battery in.

P.S. I thought psycHopath had the ole H in it.....

ok i just did it and it works but now only the steering works and the throttle does not. what could be wrong? i think it might of been like that before i fixed it
 
If your battery is weak, bad, or old, and you have a fail safe installed, then everything is fine!

Plug the throttle servo into the Rx socket your steering servo is normally plugged into once to check and see if the throttle servo still functions. use the steering wheel on your radio to check it , since it's plugged in there, where the steering servo is normally plugged in.
 
nevermind, stupid here had the throttle servo plugged up in the wrong slot. i fixed it and got it set up and the started terrorizing my dogs, siblings and neighborhood
