i got my savage and wow but i have only a 427 in it and i leaned it to far and it now has heat damage and I'm gona replace it. i want a high performance 28 in it but dont know which one. all i know is i want something that has a good power range and something that revs pretty high also, it also needs to be reliable and have good life to it.

the os .32 is a beast in the savage and not that expencive. its not a race engine but man its got some power.

Sorry, no advice here - just couldn't resist a thread with a title like that. :)

If you need a 28 look into the LRP.28. I have herd nothing but good things about that engine.

I've talked to TONS of people who are running the LRP Z28 motor and absolutely love it. I really like OS Engines and would replace just about any nitro engine that I had with an OS, but if I still had my Savage I would buy the LRP just because of how many people that I've talked to that are running it and running it hard, and they all say the same thing, excellent durability, holds a tune pretty good, and lots of power.

Update, when I looked for the OS .32 on ebay, this is what I came up with. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Black-Vinyl...7913864QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 It's very powerful for it's size, and the funy sounds will be sure to destract fellow racers. When it gets revved up it really screams lol.

Nice link man. I bet that will get you engine running :hehe:

I have two of them and they are power animals. Only one problem with them....so much power they snap drive shafts.....three rears on my Savage so far....one was an MIP CVD!

i have a savage with a axial .32 in it, great engine for the price, all the power you need for bashing, and oh ya, i have a brand new one for sale, if you want one you can get cheap, lol, my own little plug

Excellent choice. The LRP is the best bang for the buck .28 out there. It will smoke the O.S. 30 or the Axial .32 easily.
You HAVE to preheat that engine when you break it in. They are extremely tight.
Towerhobbies has all the links/items to convert it to roto-start which I suggest you do.
