I think it should be launched into space personally. I hope they do put and asterisk by it. That way fans will always ask why it is there. I don't know wether or not he used roids... but if he did, then like Palmer said.. it is his just reward.
 
I think the whole thing is funny as hell. A pretty fitting end to the drama. And the other funny thing is how simply San Fran has dropped Bonds. Thanks for the memories. Don't let the door hit ya on the ass on the way out. Can ya tell I don't like Bonds?

Anyway, this will all seem funny as hell after A-Rod breaks the all-time mark with a hell of a lot more class and dignity. THAT ball will be worth every penny.
 
Your right, after McGuire hit his the ball sold for 3 mil. That was before the steroid thing.

Bonds is an idiot plain and simple.
 
Steroids didn't just show up they have been around for a long time. The people who set the previous records could have been using performance enhancers and probably were....No one had a problem with them back then.

Personally I don't care form pro baseball so I don't care what they do with Bonds or his ball.

Steroids do not, and will not ever help someone make contact with the ball.

The guy who bought the ball is a jackass and if he wanted to piss away 750K, he should have donated it to a needy cause instead of playing games.
 
As far as I'm concerned, Hank Aaron's record still stands. So does the record of Roger Maris.
The only thing that enhanced their power was living a clean life and having an occasional beer.

The good old days of real American baseball are long gone.
Today, when they can set a new record, then sit before a congressional hearing committee and deny or plead the 5th, should tell the story that they won't tell.

Thats true to a degree. its been proven that if a person adds just 10% of muscle mass (thru roids or natural), he can easily increase his bat speed by 4-5 mph. given the correct launch angle, that increase in bat speed can lead to increased amount of balls reaching the stands.

One of the major highlights of my life was sitting in the stands and watching Mickey Mantle smack out another big one.
Now he's gone, maris is gone, and I'm almost 109.

They ought to hang Bond's BALLS in Cooperstown. They're so small and shrunken from his steroid use that they won't take up much room.

Yeah, Ruth, DiMaggio, Mantle, Maris...all examples of what loose women, big cigars and a lot of beer will do for you batting average! Who need 'roids when Norma Jean is playing tonsil hockey with your member? I'm with ya, Rolex, Hammerin' Hank is and will always be the home run King!

Personally, I think Bonds is an ass, but for a whole lot more than just his alleged steroid use. He's an ASS, top to bottom! He treats his teammates, fans and the world in general like he's some sort of god and that everyone should bow to him! I'm thrilled to tears that the Giants poop-canned that butthead! What I'm scared about is that some team will surely sign his ass to some big, fat contract.

I like that they sent the ball with an asterisk on it! Humiliate that SOB!

Absolutely TRUE !!! Don't forget the hot dogs that Babe Ruth lived on, along with all that beer and those cigars. Ruth also did it with a 'soft' ball. If they had the same ball then that they use now, he'd have a record that NO drug shooter could even come close to. Maris EARNED it the hard way, and these idiots stole it the illegal way.

They should take a cattle brand and brand an asterik on Bond's fat ass, right where his needles went. I look forward to the day that he goes down in flames. McGuire should go along for the ride. Two major ego pumped asses.

I honestly don't care to much for baseball. But if somehow in the future they get a confession that he did use steroids he shouldn't ever be allowed to get into the hall of fame. Its an amazing acomplishment if he didn't and i congradulate him. I think hank Aaron is still beter. just my $.02
