Hey i have a Hpi Savage X LRP 4.6 spec 3 and latley whenever i accelerate heavily it bogs and studders kinda stalls but doesn't die completly. i dont think i have it too lean cause when i accelerate a bit theres smoke coming out. i also dont think i have it to rich cause i turned the needle in quite a bit, i might have it to rich and not know it but ill check. If you have any suggestions id apperciate your help thanks.

I'm not sure what WOT stands for sorry, but when i accelerate like full throttle it does this studder stale thing and if i keep holding at full throttle itll just keep going but really slow and has that bog sound like a "du du du du du" but it wont die for a few seconds, and I'm getting a temp gun this week. and ill get some pics up as soon as possible

Wide Open Throttle sorry. And if i am not mistaken you are set too rich on the high speed needle(HSN) But i am waiting on the advice of some experienced driver here, but thats what i think. Nitro Gurus out there...some help here please!!!

Yeah that's what it sounds like to me too.

If you let off the throttle does it immediately clear up?

Ill try the new fuel and lean the truck out and see what happens, thanks for the help!

This tells me that it's too lean. The sound you're hearing is lean bog, which is different than rich bog. Unlike rich bog, lean bog never clears up and gets going faster. When you let off the throttle, the mixture goes back to the ideal settings you've probably got at idle.

I hope this is right. If not I'm sure one of the others will correct me. I just don't want you to go out there tomorrow and lean your engine any more if it's already lean enough to bog, you know?

Sounds like your rich on the HSN and lean on the LSN. From my experience this engine does not like a lean LSN, it can make plenty of power even when running on the rich side.

alright, ill try those things, ill make sure i dont lean it out too much too
thanks

Sorry! Thats why i wanted experts to give their opinion, thanks. BTW nice truck bro!!!

Well thats fine, ill just try some things see what happens, thanks man

Okay well i got the truck going today, i leaned it out abit and realised it wasn't doing anything better, so i richened it up a lot and i saw a huuuge improvement so it ended up being a lean blog i also richened up the low speed needle a tiny bit and everything works very well. thanks for the help guys!
