Hello all.

I'm starting this body build and I need some help. Being relatively new to RC my knowledge is not that great, that being said, is it normal for the body to be this high off the sides? How can I remedy this ? Also, I don't have any bumpers as the original ones broke and I haven't replace them but I'd like to get some with this new body. What's a decent, preferably metal, set of bumpers that would go good with this body and keep the approach/departure angles good??

This Is a TRX4 defender with a shortened wheelbase to fit the body.

The body I'm using is the jeep comanche

Thanks in advance!

The wheelbase actually looks short in the front. Do you have linger links you could put vack on the front?

The body posts should be adjustable to lower the body, but you'll likely have to do some trimming of the wheel arches.

Damn I got the long to short wheelbase kit and when I was at the hobby shop they actually told me this body would work with the new wheelbase 🤦🏽‍♂️. Also, what are linger links?
Lowering the truck shouldn't be a problem as I have a new set of body posts I can use and I also suspected I might have to do more trimming on the body. What do people do if they want to keep the body as scale as possible ?

Will the wheels clear the body when u lower the body post and the tires and suspension flex and turn without hitting body. May have to trim the front a little. Back looks fine. Or you can put some type of trim piece to bring the body and chassis together.

It rubs pretty bad if I go lower than this, I'd have to trim the thw body alot to have it fit if I want it sitting lower which I was trying to avoid

Longer links in thr front to pull the wheel towards the front bumper. Or you can move the rear wheel and shock towards the rear bumper and move the body back. This depends where the body post is located on the hood.

I think I’d come up with a strip below door after it was painted that I like most. Black or color of the car itself. Would be a good route to go
