hey guys i got my nitro rustler and it has a new set of pin tires on the rear and they are blue
i have them off the wheels and i need to know who would make such an animal and if i can dye them black ,but i havent a clue who made them so i can get specs on them

can't Help You with the tires But I am from mifflintown and live in lancaster now. where do run onroad at?
 
since you know the area i run at the fair grounds whcih is a stone throw from the house or down at the football field below moyer park
 
you could spray paint them. don't know how long they would last though.
 
bear thanx for the suggestion ,but i am not spray painting them,
there is suposed ot be a track finished above walmart on 522 along the river that the guys from Hi-power hobbies made but there isnt any tracks local to me ,and yes kieth still runs up here ,the middlesworth #7 sprinter
 
I don't think spray painting them is a good idea, I would go with dying them, i think it would work.
 
yes...like dying rims. But with black rit dye. Theres a tutorial in the tips section, pretty much the same procedure. Couldn't hurt to try!
 
well they are brand new like i said ,i did not hurt them at all removing from the wheels i also i know about the tutorial on dyeing plastics i just would like to know who makes them and there specs i know ofna makes 1/8th scale blue buggy tires but i can't find anything on 1/10th scale stadium truck tires ,i do not want to ruin them by dying and they look like crap so if i can't then i will sell them and buy a set of dirtworx

Yup, losi started the trend (or at least TRIED to start it) back in 98 or so, about the time that the JuniorT came out, and when RTR's started to become popular. It was an option on that truck, as a "spec" racer. It was an attempt to 'control the cost of racing'. As you can tell, it failed miserably (thank god). Now, it seems like Losi had a mass overstock they stumbled on, so they're trying to get rid of the failed tires... Perhaps by selling them off to Traxxas?

They probably hope people forgot about the blue "smurf" tires, and would probably want them as 'eye candy'.

Somewhere I have a CarAction that has the details on this (I'm a magazine hoarder, lol).
