blue fuel tanks?

Take a new tank and lean it REALLY good on the outside, then take some fine grit sandpaper and rough it up pretty good, then wash it thoroughly again (making sure not to get anything inside the tank. Afer it dries completely, primer it than paint it using some fuel proof paint.

You can get fuel proof paint at the hobby store. *Here's an example*

Thanks HB for posting the RIT dye suggestion. I second that. No need to scuff sand the tank, but it does help with dye absorption. Buy some RIT in blue and follow the directions.

Ya I dont think anyone makes a blue tank. I was going to try and dye one. Whats RIT dye and where can I find it?

RIT dye is a clothing dye and can be found at most fabric stores (ie. JoAnn Fabrics), some grocery stores, and most department stores (ie. Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc.)

Hmm, I didn't think dye would look good on clear (maybe not be opaque enough), but I don't know I've never done it. Yeah, I'd try that first that'd be easier and cheaper.
Good suggestion!

It will not make the plastic opaque unless you let it sit in it for quite some time, but RIT will change the color of the plastic.
