ok heres the deal.. used ofna buggy with factory radio brand new servos.. radio doesn't work guy says it would.. i think its the receiver so i replace whole thing with brand new factory ofna radio works fine for about 4 tanks then servos start twitching so i go charge the battery.. doesn't fix it.. then it starts working untill i try to start it and radio goes dead.. keep trying and then it gets to where if i wiggle the steering or throtle is will go dead.. the it quits working all together.. so i snag the radio of the rustler... works fine.. put in my old xstals and they dont work.. put in original old xstals and they dont work.. put in rustler xstals and they work fine put rustler xstals in my radio and starts working then starts twitching so i pull them befor they get fried to.. buggy ran all day sunday like 8 tanks on rustler radio.. are ofna radios bad about fring xstals?? i dont have the money for a high end radio right now and the rustler wont be down much longer.. HELP ME !! can you even blow xstals?? has anyone had this problem??

dude if you think blowing your crystals will help then give it a try....I never had to do favors like that but if it gets you goin more power to ya...as far as the radio gear not working right...have you checked for metal to metal rubbing anywhere?? nicks in the servo, battery or antennae wires?.....sounds like something is shorting out to me.....

i think plaid needs a new icon.. ill check again but i havent found anything yet.. thanks for the ideas

No way my daughter would kill me.....she loves nemo...I have a giant stuffed Nemo in my bed...well not giant but pillow sixed.....that's still pretty giant for a cartoon clown fish......I even talked the boss into having the corporate retreat at epcot to have the dinner in the under the sea dining hall........I gotta take pics of that......sometime in july or august......you cannot change my fish.....

i was thinking something with a donkey on it.. lol you know where I'm going with this..

i was thinking maby a donkey with a graduation hat.. cause latley plaid had been the bottomless pit of smartass combacks.. i dont know where he pulls them from.. but its funny as hell.. to bad i missed his graduation..

Now that we're totally derailed the reason beason posted:

MAYYYYYYBE....
Beason did U check for metal contacting metal anywhere...that's usually what causes funky glitches it might be some tiny peice in the RX module.....

thats what gets me.. the traxxas radio worked fine.. i mean the buggy is mostly metal so there is metal to metal contact but not like rubbing.. ill check the wires maby today and see if i can find anything.. there was a nick in the charging wires but i taped that all up..

therenbrand new so i dont think so but ill check the switch harness had a nick in the charging lead.. but i fixed that.. it was weird like there for a little while it wourl work fine untill i pulled the start rope.. then it would go dead.. the engine doesn't make any electrical interference does it??

I would start checking what is flexing when you pull the rope and see if anyhting is moving metal to metal....but that's just my first impression from what ou just said......it could be that little green men are invading your radio gear and playing evil jokes on you when you think everything is normal......

guess i need a can of evil green men remover.. who makes that?? ill check it out

I had a problem like that. It turned out to be sand and crap in the case of the reciver. After I cleaned it out I never had a problem again. :2cents:
