block cracked on my 4.6

I've had my 4.6 for only 2 weeks now, and I noticed today that the block cracked along the motor mount. Has anyone else seen this?? do you think it would be warranty covered??
 
Best thing to do, is to contact HPI. They may have you send it in, if you had a hard upside down landing though, I doubt they'll cover it. I cracked a mounting tab off of my 2.5r right after I finished the 5 tank break in, I think it was the tenth tank.
 
I dont think its had a hard landing. can't see any marking on the engine gaurd or the head. the body could hide a lot i guess.
 
every one I know that called them with a problem got new parts ,servo's ,engines sent to them ,you may have to send them the old one back , here is a link with a contact number http://www.hpieurope.com/contacts.php?lang=en

This warranty is for HPI USA customers only, if you are located outside of North America please contact your nearest HPI branch or distributor for information about their warranty policy. HPI USA does not ship overseas for warranty issues or repairs.

Your HPI Nitro Star engine is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the purchase date. If there are any defects with the materials, workmanship, or assembly of your engine, we will gladly repair or replace it for you at our discretion. Products which have been worn out, abused, or improperly operated will not be covered under warranty. Because we have no control over the quality of the fuel being used and the conditions under which the engine is run, there is no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the life of the engine.

NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:

Normal wear, abuse, neglect, or any damage arising as a result of improper use.
Recoil starters, starter components, glow plugs.
HPI Racing shall not be liable for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential, arising from the use, misuse, or abuse of this product and any accessory or chemical required to operate this product.

HPI Racing assumes responsibility for our products and will repair or replace any defective product at our sole discretion. We believe that we are solely responsible for our products, therefore, dealers should not be involved in any replacements. Please contact us directly.

When returning the engine, or any of its components, please ship it prepaid and insured to the address listed below. We advise you to speak with one of our customer service representatives prior to shipment, sometimes we can help you fix the problem over the phone.

How long does it take for Customer Service to send out my part?
We try our best to process repairs as soon as they come in, most of the time simple items are shipped back the day after they come in. Shipping time depends on how you send it and where you are located. HPI USA is in California, so ground shipping from the east coast can take around 5 days in each direction. The closer you are to California the quicker the item will be returned. Canadian customers, International customs can sometimes delay the delivery by a few days. We don't work on weekends and holidays, so if you want to calculate the time it takes for a repair you must consider our weekend/holiday schedule
