Hey does anyone know how to block calls if u do please tell me and let me know.
Thanks

How about I call you and let you know? LOL

Only way to do it is to not list your number and get cllaer ID. Get some sort of screening manager from your Phone company. I do but those damn telemarketers still get through!

Register your phone # here

https://www.donotcall.gov

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) amended the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) to give consumers a choice about whether they want to receive most telemarketing calls. As of October 1, 2003, it is illegal for most telemarketers or sellers to call a number listed on the National Do Not Call Registry.

i was on the do not call list for about a year when i still had my land line. i got 2 telemarketing calls from the same place within 2 days. i yelled at them and reported them to whoever runs the DNC program. i never had another telemarketer call again. and my number was listed the entire time. I've since gone to only a cell phone for personal reasons, and get no telemarketing calls on that either even though its what i give for my home #.

just turn your ringer off and you will never hear from those people again as well as never hear from anyone else calling you

Are you trying to block telemarketers, or just one person that is anoying you?

ahh telemarketers i remember those days.but now theres phone surveys i must do one every week about politics and all types of garbage.the Do Not Call registry works.

I am try to block one prerson who is trying to anoying me. He keeps calling me

Well, ofcoars if you had caller ID (with privacy manager if his # is blocked and you want call from other blosked #'s) you could just not answer the phone when he calls. I don't know anyway you can do it yourself, so what you have to do is call your telephone service provider, and request a block be put of his #, if you know it, so that he can't call your #. They may or may not have a charge for this, and I'm pretty sure you have to be the one the bill goes to to have it done.

For the last couple of months, I got anywhere from 1 to 3 calls per day from the same number, listed on my caller ID as "Toll Free Number". If the answering machine picked up, there was no message. If I picked up, there was no one to answer.
I finally called the number back, and it turns out to be sales and marketing of my phone company, Bell South.
How ironic is that? I've been on the state's 'no call' list for 2 years, and I was being harrassed by my own phone company.

Well, most phone companies won't just block one number. I tried looking into that a few months back. What my phone company suggested is to report that person as someone harrasing me.

I also found somewhere on the net, a type of phone blocker, much like telezapper for telemarketers. When someone calls (you must have caller ID and Blocked# rejection activated), that # can be put into the memory and every time that # comes up, it gets a message saying your # isn't accepting calls from that # and hangs up. I'm gonna look up that unit again and post the link for it asap. I just realized I need it too!

actually here in washington qqwest provides it. You pick up the phone, and type a * plus a two digit number and the last person who called you is blocked.

Try using google anbd the search words "selective call blocking", and "call blocking" such I found that several companies support it. I don;t know your provide, so I can't tell you exactly how to use the service your company provides. Looks like it can be done with about any company now days.. Just call them are look in your local phone book

Gluck

do what i do every time you see the # on caller id just pick up and hang up.if the person is really persistent cuss them out!!

Or, answer the phone with obscure thing like "Geogia State Highway Patrol, how may I help you", "911, what's your emergancy?", or if you don't want to impersinate an officer, since it is against the law say "Columbia gas", or you could get really creative and say "Hello you've reached ________, please leave a message at the beap. (pause) BBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!" and hang up. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
I bet he won't call back again if you try all four. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK. HE has not called back because i pick up the phone and said o hey who is this and then is said u have the wrong # and the person that was living here move. And then the guy said ok i must of dial the wrong number. So he has not called me back.
