ok i ordered my blitz today and i am going to be putting in my brushless set up from my slash. my slash at about 60 will get a blow over if using a proline body the stock body it will only run about 50. my question is has anyone already switched to brushless and what kind of stability does it have? i would think with the lower center of gravity and less air under the truck it should run just fine. any ideas? thanks:thumbup1:

couple guys been running 5700 with no problems, keep us updated.

I tried a Mamba Sidewinder combo with stock gearing in my Blitz and found that the speed was excessive to the point of being hard to control-I am now running an Xcelorin 4800kv motor with an EZrun 80 amp ESC and 86/22 gearing. This gives me good speed and acceleration and the motor stays within normal temps-115 to 130 F after extended driving.I also have a Slash with an EZrun 4300kv motor,60 amp ESC and stock gearing,an SC10 with VXL 3500kv combo and an SC10 with an EZrun 3000kv motor and 60 amp ESC-all these trucks perform well, don't run too hot and still display the characteristics that make short course trucks so much fun.If I feel the need for speed,I get the B/L E-Revo out, throw in a couple of 3s lipos and go for it.

update

Ok the blitz has arrived and went on its maiden voyage with my mamba 5700 ans a zippy 11s battery wit 18/88 gearing. let me just say with a stock lid on it took about 2 runs to grind holes thru the lid, painted up a proline body and did some fine tuning and dropped a tooth on the pinion and grabed a hand full of throttle. oh yeah and ditched the stock servo for a futaba unit a 9350 to be exact. this truck compared to my slash is night and day. this thing handles great and corners on rails. i did put on some anacondas for street use also. i would highly recommend this truck. working on it is a breeze and with a low center of gravity it handles awesome. anyway power down....:thumbup1:

I dropped a MM 7700 in my Blitz, its a bit over powered but thats how I like it.. I just use the CC Software to tame the beast at the track!!

I am looking at the same system for my Blitz:

1) Have you tried it on the track with the Mamba Max 5700 system??

2) Any issues to date??

Thanks.

no issues to date other than the good ole leaky diff but hpi sent me out new orings for free. just been used for playin right now with a 3s battery its way to over powered for dirt i just put in my 2s for that and its a blast. i just can't kill this truck wish i would of gotten it earlier and ditched the slash

I'm running a LRP 4200kv system in mine and i reakon its not fast enough it good but but I'm wanting more power so I've order CC 5700KV system should be better know i hoping..

My Blitz with the MM 5700 @ 2S and stock gearing run a little too hot for my liking :(

And @ 3S it runs WAY TOO Hot!! I'm thinking on gearing down ;)

Yeah I'm running 16/88 with my 5700kv system and it runs alot cooler still not 100% but it pretty good i can run a full 4000mah 2s 25c lipo pack threw it without any drama's....I do let it cool a bit in between batteries....
