has anyone tried using the Hpi Flux brushless motor/ esc combo in your Blitz? i was told it works really good, but i figured i would bring it to you guys first for your opinions. thanks for the help.

I've seen one in person and its impressive. Much better than a VXL. more compact too. I'd say castle or flux for the blitz

with all the added power, will it have a hard time staying flat on the ground? would adding some aluminum parts be a good idea??

actually with a properly adjusted slipper you will not wheelie. Although if you did want to add some, you can add some aluminum knuckles, or whatever you want really.

would going brushless require changing the gearing? just the pinion? spur too? neither?

i spoke to Hpi today and they sold me on the Flux system. they told me to get the Castle Link system to adjust the timing and run the stock gearing. i should have the system by early-mid april so i will let you know how it goes when i get it.

The Flux system is the system I've been eyeing myself, just waiting to see what the LHS does in terms of racing this year.

thats my problem. i have 1 track that is STOCK items only. u can use whatever radio you want, but your tires, servo, esc, and motor have to be all stock. you can interchange parts from the blitz, sc10, strike and slash, but they have to all be stock parts. then there is another track that is still trying to decide weather or not to run a sc class. so i ordered the motor combo anyway and i will deal with it when the time comes.

The HPI Flux system is made buy Castle Creations its exactly the same as a Sidewinder system, I'm running the Sidewinder 5700kv in my Blitz and i can say its very good, heaps of power, i have tuned it down a bit and changed the gearing too 16/88 to get the temps spot-on...

I think youl find you can also find the Sidewinder System for a Cheaper price as well..
