what kind of blades are u guys usin to trim out the designs in the masking. i tried usin and exacto and all it did was drag the tape.and i tried an olfa knife (window tinter knife) and it was to awkward to move around....

I was using a standard #11 blade but I don't like it. I've always had good outcomes cutting decals out with a #4 knife. I recently purchased some #16 blades that I think will be easier to use.

I am on the same wavelength as Lessen. I had been using #11 blades exclusively, but always had the same troubles. The point is way to sharp and always digs into the plastic leaving crappy looking cut lines in my paint. I'm thinking the #16 would work better because it's got a shallower point and should let you keep the angle less severe when cutting.

Exacto #16's work very well for cutting in on those tight spaces in an R/C lid..
One of the biggest advantages is not having to tilt the knife as much, giving you more room to get in the tighter areas..
This is what a #16 blade looks like..

Honestly I just use whatevers the sharpest. The more coats of mask you put on the less pull back you should get.

OooooH I'm liking those #16. Time to add another thing to the shopping list . $$$
