My Omega .26 Engine has two LSN needles. Should I run the black one, or the silver one?

I'm leaning toward the black one, but how should I set it?

2 LSN???
i believe your referring to the LSN and the midrange needle ,i would not touch the mid just the LSN and HSN and with the omega i do not know which is which

What I mean is that the mill came with literally two LSNs

You can unscrew one and replace it with another.

One has a straight tip, wheras, the other has a tapered tip.

sorry bud i havent a clue ,i would think the tapered would work good
i would try both and which ever gives you the best bottom end the stay with that i am sure the o-ring and possible dirt getting in there when swapping would not be a good thing
when swapping i would put a dab of 3&1 oil on it to help protect the rings and make it easier to tune and help make a good seal too

Ok, kind of off the subject- but what do both of the needles control? Wouldn't one be high, the other low speed?

no guys... he has only one lsn but there is 2 needles. He wants to know which one to put in, in other words he has a spare of a different kind and wants to know which one will work the best. Correct busted?

you guys are confusing as hell.. yea red got it right.. the mill cam with a lsn installed and a spare one that is shaped differently.. i dont know which to use ether just trying to repair the confusion..

I would go with the one that has a pointed tip, all LSN's that I've ever seen have had a point at the end. I think the square end would give more tuning problems then anything else.

I would say try the one that DIDN'T come in the engine. I remember a hearing about a mill that had a bad needle design, and rather than install the correct one, they just threw it in the box without any extra instructions. I want to say it was the ORION WASP .28, but I can't remember for sure.

I have always ran the silver one in my picco 26. I don't know if they are the same engine or not but on my engine the silver needle was pointed. So I say go with the pointed one.

theres a couple people at the track that have this engine, and i am good friends with them, so i usually pit for them, which requires me to give the engine some tuning, and i know its the black one....

this is a senseless reply....
THIS was a senseless reply.... :2cents:

Anyway

I agree with Vb, all LSN's that I've ever seen have had a point at the end also. Go with that one.
