how small will the clamp go? ar barrel is little

about 11/16ths is fully closed. I had it on my .308 but my barrel is tappered so it wanted to slide down the more I tightened it.

Lloyd, how does the clamp work? can you get a better shot of the clamp? maybe in action? If it will work ill send you the cash tomorrow.

the reason i ask is because of the large flash hider on the AR barrel. If it will open up to go over that, and still tighten up without a bunch of tools, it will work.

I'll try to get a pic later. But yes, the clamp has a quick release on the side so it fully opens up. Then you close it around the barrel and tighted it from underneath.

Not the same one but thats the same type mount.

ok let me measure my barrel tonight. is there any padding in the clamp? did you notice any marring?

yeah it has a pad on both top and bottom. It didnt leave any marks.

my barrel actually has a spot for a bipod. the barrel in this location is 15mm in diameter, and the section is 24/25mm wide and tapered on one end. If your clamp will fit this area, send me the PP info.
