Just wondering what changes you gotta make if any to your Revo when you strap on bigger wheels and tires..??

Got the Geode rims/tires today and they are bigger than ALL my other sets.. I figure it must change something..

Thanks ppl :)

Whats weird is mine and my friends revo came with 13t cb on it. Traxxas doesn't even show that in their parts book for a option. I would run it the way it is and she how it handles the tires before you change anything. And if all else fails get a bigger motor lol

The new Revo 3.3 comes with the Geode wheels and Maxx tires so i don't see a problem running those wheels.

It depends on where you run really. If your in grass a lot, or other high resistance areas, you'll want to drop a tooth on the cb. Maybe even jump up a tooth or two on the spur. If your on hard-packed dirt or the street, you'll notice a bit of performance loss in the low end and a bit higher top speed. This can be helpful though, as it makes the vehicle more predictable.

i am running a 14/40 ratio on mine with those wheels right now ...but also ran good whit the stock 14/38 ....at 14/36 i have a hard time to get it to do wheelie ...

just try it ..youll see if you need to gear down or not ;)

Awesome..

Thanks guys..
I'm running 14/40 ATM and it seems ok..

Just thought i read somewhere that if you change wheel size you gotta make some adjustments..

if it was a 2.5 ..then maybe you would have to ...but the 3.3 can handle them ;) ..i love those wheel ...they make my truck alot more stable ....if you put 14/36 on it ..you will have good top speed but i find it does have have enough torque

hope you have fun with it :D
