I was some bigger tires for my t-maxx 2.5. Right now I"m running some proline bowties. But over the summer i'll be into some larger terrain, bigger rocks, branches etc etc.

So would it be good to get a larger set of tires/rims ? If so any suggestions ?

Thanks.

if you dont have the 40 series now, they are bigger, but will be harder on your suspension. you could look into something with a taller sidewall and keep your stock size wheels. the bowties have a low profile sidewall. proline has a wide selection of tires.

if you have the stock driveline, then I would advise against getting larger tires. I had tried this with some hot bodies tires that were 6.5" in diameter and the extra rotating mass shredded the drive shafts. It also makes the low end acceleration boggy and lame. I would suggest getting something like rpm rims with a set of proline badlands tires. I use those and they grip like crazy

I have a new set of hpi goliaths on chrome tremor wheels, you have to change the hub size on your maxx, but they look killer, dwarfs everything near it. kdogg
