Has anyone here have big joe tires and wheels. I'm getting them next week there $80 for four. There supost to help the savage get more sable and so not a lot of roll overs. Does anyone know that there is not a center skid on the bottom of the savage. There selling alloy ones for $28 each on www.gpmracing.com and the part number is sav1332.

Yes, the Savage does not have a center skid. Feel free to buy one; they are a good thing to have.

As for larger tires...they do add stability, because of the width. BUT they rob you from air....too heavy. I run IMEX Jumbo Maxx tires of the Claw Dawgz variety. They are the same size as the ProLine Big Joe 40 series tires. I love running with them for ground work, but when I want air I switch to the lighter stock size tire or go smaller and put T-Maxx tires on.

saw those joe tires today. I dont know how those tires fit on the rims, and to top that off holy poop man, the thing was like twice the size of my stocker tire i wanted to buy em but 30 for 2 w/o rims caused a minor problem in the back pocket:doh:

The tires have a special 40 series rim that they have to be placed on; they will not ride on regular size rims.

Do these tires not rob power from the stock engine? and put strain onthe dogbones, diff etc?

Only when airborne, and then even just a little. Pirata runs IMEX Jumbo Maxx tires on a stock engine run Savage. He sees very little performance change when doing ground work, but airborne...he has nothing.

My Hyper 21 will take them airborne and do back flips with them, but it will not get the distance nor height that lighter tires do. It is all about what you want.

Then these will produce.

Are these big enough for you?

Those things are huge and are best suited for sitting on the shelf. I would venture to say that you will see no gain in performance from putting those monsters on your truck.

BUT you will have a stable truck. No way you could roll that thing, as those tires weigh a ton and you wouldn't be able to get them off the ground.

You think I need them don't you.:bling: wonder if they have them with alu rims.

Nope sorry, but sky dont you think those would be good with a TXT-1 or a modified clod buster or some rock crawler? I think thatd be the best.

They might be, but why waste the money on either (tires or the trucks you mentioned)? If you have a Savage, you have all the truck you need. No TXT-1 or clodbuster/rock crawler will top it.
