big bear rc truck

has anyone ever heard of a rc truck called big bear it has a datson stepside truck body on it i would like to know how old it is and who made it thank you for any help i can get

I found this...

Mauri Big Bear: For those of you that don't remember Mauri products, they were inexpensive kits that came out in the late eighties, and they were pretty much gone within a year and a half. The Big Bear was their monster truck, with tires that measured four inches across! It sported full spring suspension, and the smallest ball joints in the steering linkages. All it took was one good hit, and the steering linkage would pop right off. This thing sucked! But it was impressive to run.

If it's in good shape, take out the batts and store it. It might become a collectible like some of the old Tamiyas.

thanks guy i got it at a junk shop i payed 10.00 for it its in fair shape i got 2 chargers with it one looks pretty old to

if i were to try and sell it how much could i get for it it in pretty good shape i tried it out and it run pretty good or as said before should i just keep it and sell at a later date just wondering

that was a fun little truck in it's day....I had many of them......and broke many of them......I used to work in a small LHS and got those kits for 40 bucks......LOL many a little bear fireball was seen riding down my street.....
