WHaddup bro,

The house favorites around here seems to be the (HITECH) HS 465 (standard) and HS-5645 Metal Gear (digital Ultra Torque) servos. The stock plastic geared servos on the T-maxx and Savage are descent @ best. You'll c a big increased in performance (especially with large tires like Big JOes) with a metal geared Digital servo from what I've seen but you can't run regular dry cells as the digital servos drain allot more power as they are constantly trying to center themselves. So you'll need to get a NI-cad or NIMH pack online or made up @ your lhs to run a digital. Either digital or standard your going to experience more perfromance compared to stock. You'd also benifit the most with a digital servo to be running an FM Digital radio and true digital reciever. JR makes some great servos but they tend to be very pricey.

On the net these guys seem to be great from all accounts and free shipping

SaVaGeR21, The servo you have listed does not really have enough power/torque for steering.

You will need the HS-645MG or the HS-5645 MG as NitroBoy stated. The HS-645MG has nearly double the steering force of the one you show and the HS-5645 MG has MORE than double the steering power of the HS-5475 HB.

The HS 5645 MG ,which is a digital servo, will need a better receiver battery pack to operate properly as Nitroboy said.

I'm using the HS 5645MG in my truck with a 6volt 1100Mah NiMH receiver pack I got off E-Bay for about 15$. Didn't come with a charger which is fine with me because I'm using my own charger. SuperBrain 959. This steering set-up works extremely well in my truck.

Here's a link to the type receiver pack you should use with either servo and it's bascially mandantory for the digital servo. This goes in place of your original 4.8v 4 cell AA receiver pack in your radio box. The packs I have listed are re-chargable NiMH packs which will save you money in the long run If you are still using Alkaline or throw-away batteries.

This is just an example because you can find them cheaper. I'm not implying that you have to buy this particular one although, as It's just an example so you know what they look like. E-Bay may be your best bet.
