okay
to make a long story short, dad wont let me get a new engine till I've totally killed the old one (trx .15 pro) so I'm gonna run 30% nitro w/o any shims and lean it as far as it will go and still run and just go with it till it blows up so i can get a EPIC bigbore .18 (yea buddy):flamer: :flamer:

I'm new to the r/c scene but in all of my reading it seems like the air filter is a crucial part to the engines air supply so why not just remove the air filter? if this is wrong which is a good chance becuz I'm a newbie then please excuse me because I'm still learning

i would say remove the air fliter, wait he already lost it and that is why is it pretty much dead

Leaning it out will fry your engine pretty quick..A shim is a gasket that goes between the engine block and the cooling head.

yeah I agree lean it out , no air filter and run it in some loose dirt

i wanna try to melt a hole in the engine case, that would be cool so I'm not really worried about trying to get dirt in it, just alot of high reving runs on the pavement hehe, by the way its pretty much totaled already, I've had to pick leaves out of the carb b4....:whack:

what does it mean when you run 30% 20 % fuel? do u have to mix it with oil or something?

no its the %age of nitromethane content in the fuel, on most car/truck/bugy motors your not supposed to run more than 20% without proper shimming and tuning, your also not supposed to change the percentage of nitro you run in an engine, typicly the higher the nitro, the better the performance,, but the engine will run hotter.

you were the guy that was gonna trade an auto cocker for an rs4 right? did you?

actually ya i did hhaha getting the car wensday thanks for your help another thing does that mean i can't save gas for 2 years and use it all at once like i would a new bottle? i read in the faqs that a old bottle of fuel is better than new

you should be ok useing some old fuel i remeber i found lil less than 1/2 gal. over a year old in my closet and figured what the heck put it in my tank and ran fine as long as it doesn't have sever climate changes it should be ok (like leaving it out in a garage hot to cold over and over then i wouldnt reccomend usein old fuel)

thanks you have been a real help latley hopefully there should be some way to thank u

yea you can catch me on my AIM: Paintballjunky53 i usually have my away message on cause too many peeps I'm me and it gets annoying so one i see i have some messages ill check em I'm goin to eat suppa so i beable to talk in like 20 mins if u wanna

If the fuel is that old, do yourself and your engine a favor and dump it. Go get some new fuel that you know is quality. If you think about it, it's actually FREE insurance.

Ohh yeah, also while your trying to kill your engine, take off the pipe and run that thing!

he doenst beleive theres anything wrong with it so he says theres no reason to replace it, 1 its toast anyways, 2 it sucks anyways, 3 i wanna blow an enigne up!!!

why dont u take it out and throw it on the ground and then say the car flipped over?

I would say to lean it out a bit and have fun with it
It should last a few runs but why not have fun with it till the end. Also do pull your pipe off. It will be loud, You could just pull of your backpresure line to run it lean.
