whats the best swaybar system to use?
What rod size do you guy's use if you make your own swaybars?
I have some .125 rod i would like to use and was wondering if this rod would be too stiff to use for swaybars?

Definately the Tekno Kit is the best because it is totally inboard and doesn't require any drilling of arms and such, The Traxxas sway might require mods if you put different arms on it such as RPM.

I have the trx sway bar it's fine. The tekno sits inside the chassis instead of sticking out, being the main difference. It's still ok in a crash it just hangs off the back a little. I don't care though, it does a great job, isn't in the way and makes my rig look high tech.:D Be careful installing the rear one, if it isn't set right it'll interfere with the rockers.

I would get tekno if I didn't already have the trx, but it doesn't matter what a-arms you have. You do have to drill the rockers though, it's a pita.

Thanks 2revo1maxx, I'll use it as long as it lasts and I'll probably get a Tekno kit

In my opinion any sway bar kit is worth it,what a huge difference it made with my rigs. now i almost look like i can drive it lol.

I ran the Traxxas sway bars, using Steve Slayden's set-up from the Traxxas website. No problems with my rpm arms in the front or my Tekno rear extended arms either. The Traxxas sway bars are very easy to adjust, clean and simple. I did not like the way the Tekno sway bars mounted.

Hey Scrogg, where can I find Steve Slayden's set-up? I looked on The traxxas site and couldn't find it. could you give me a link? thanks!

to: wild what kind of matl are the rod made of? if its mild steel it wont do much. i made sway bars for my jato out of music wire 1/8 in from k&s eng. stock #507. do not bend with heat you must bend it cold. when you first cut it, cut it longer than you think you need, that way you can finish cut it later. i used zip tie to hold it to the a arms. also if 1/8 is to tight you can buy smaller dias.

the metal i have is sping steel, I org. had some from home depot but it was mild steel and that was like using a rope for a sway bar LOL
thanks for the heads up moe!

For bashing off road Traxxas, for racing tekno. The traxxas one does the job just enough to make a big difference without loosing articulation.

Well i decided to go with the traxxas swaybar system, wow what a difference it made to the truck.:)
I am getting another revo soon, just might get the tekno system for it, hopefully it works as good as the traxxas system

to get my jato low enough, ( about .5 inch clearance ) i put two zip ties on each shock spring, put the zip tie around 3-4 coils. if it ant low, it will not corner.
