Hey guys... what is everyone's opinion on what the best servo is for racing on road touring 1/10th electric?
If money doesn't matter and you are looking for the best.. also what are the best bearings? Thanks..

For speed controls the best ($$$) is the Associated Quantum Competition 2
The Q2 has a motor limit of 5+.

A little less money ($$) LRP v7.1 also by associated.

I run the v7.1 in all my cars and had not had one problem yet.
The v7.1 has no motor limit.

For bearings the best ones ($$$$) are Ceramic anything. Hardcore racing makes a set of TC3 and Boca also makes a set but are hard to find.

My favorite servo for all my cars, Airtronics #94357. Cost about $125

For steering Futaba 9402 or 9405 they can take the abuse & keep on going

steering a 1/10 touring car doesn't take a whole lot so choose acordingly. theres no sense in spending $125 when $75 will get you more servo than that aplication will ever need.

I think quickness is more important on a road car than shear torque, so I am using a JR Z4750 digital on my NTC3 - 96 oz/.12 sec, about $85 on Tower. Another good and super quick servo is the Hitec 925 - 103 oz/.08 sec, about $72 on Tower.

I don't know what the "best" is for you but the one with the most "bang for the buck" in my NTC3 (steering) is the Futaba 3305. Metal gear, good torque, non digital and avg price is $38. It's not the fastest servo but for me, it serves its purpose fine, especially when hitting a board ... it's pretty beefy.

I don't need the fastest servo out there becuase I'd probably turn it down anyway so that would defeat it's purpose. I like to do al ittle bit of throttle steering and drift around the turns. That's the way I set up the car. I'm sure on carpet, it would be a different story.
