At this point in time there is a 645 hitec on the steering and a trx on the throttle. my throttle isnt sounding to good anymore so I'm wanting to replace my steering servo and put my steering on my throttle. So whats the best servo's for steering in the max

how much money do ya want to spend? There is no "best" servo. your only limit is money.

Agreed^^^^

If you have the cash to spend I really like the Savox SC1256 TG, about $70.00ea shipped on EBay. I use them for throttle/brake and steering, work great.
A decent jump up from the HiTec 645 and they dont break the bank. Very good all around servo for the $$.

+1 on savox servos
I have the 0251 steering my maxx and that has enough power to move trencher x's while stationary
I just put a 1231 (thinks thats the part#) in my revo with 444oz of torque its a beast and its only 74 bucks shipped
Fyi the 0251 is like 40 bucks shipped so you really can't beat the price

I just bought the SC0251mg savox off ebay for $27 and change shipped. Had the older hitech HS5955tg on it and honestly its too fast and makes my steering too sensitive. The speed on hitech is .15sec at 6v vs the savox being .19sec at 6v. Also hitech is 333oz inches of torque vs savox 145 oz inches. Both are plenty strong enough to turn my badlands with no strain but I'm hoping i can control it better at higher speeds with the savox.

I've heard alot of good things about savox on this forum and read alot on others also good things about hitec to but with the hitec in my truck idk if its maybe just worn out but it doesn't snap back to center barely at all i have to do it with the remote myself

High end servos are made to be rebuilt. Maybe its time to do so with your hitech. All new gears and bearings.

yea that is a possibility but either way i want to replace my throttle servo on my max witch is a traxxas servo so the hitec will be on the throttle and w.e i decide to buy on steering my think about rebuilding the hitec anyway tho
