best race short course truck

hey,
so I'm gonna start racing at my local indoor track. i want a 2wd sc truck. either losi or assosiated or the OFNA TS2sc.any other I'm missing?

I know the losi and ofna are not brushless so thats why I'm leaning toward the sc10.

yeah but the whole reason i sold my slash is to get a 2wd. I really like the Losi 22sct kit but with the motor and everything I'm pushing 700!! i can get a sc10 rtr for 300. Do you know if the Castle Sidewinder 2 is a 17.5t?

WOW, What kind of motor/esc are you buying? you should be able to get a good motor esc cobo for 120-150.

If you're going to get the rtr you might as well stick with the Slash and upgrade as needed/ get batter!

You won't be able to run the SC10 in the stock class. The stock (pro-stock) class is a 17.5 class, and the Reedy 3300kv in the SC10 is considered closer to a 13.5. You can race it in the mod/open class though.

Don't blow all your money on RPM stuff right away. What you'll learn in a hurry with racing is that tires are very important. Find out what the local guys are using for tires for the class you are intending to race, and get a couple sets, with wheels. Also, get a variety of springs and shock oils. Shock oil is a must have, for when you spring a leak in a race, you can refill/rebuild between races.

And have two batteries on hand. You should be able to run two races per charge, minimum.

Don't know, I race a TLR. Oil could be anywhere from 25wt to 35wt, and I'm not sure how AE rates their springs.

Oil and springs will depend on your driving style and track conditions, its something you will have to "test" to get it where you want it.

Axial EXO Terra, here in Utah they run the same class as SCT and mop the floors with them

Ok I decided on the sc10. After rpm upgrades I want to upgrade chassis. Other than integy I found this carbon one http://www.bartspartsrc.com/sc10parts.html

Or should I go with alum? What are aome good alum chassis?
