well I've been looking around for the past few days for prices on the FR18 and I'm gunna order tonight cause my 2.5 finally kiked the bucket. But the thing is the prices are all over the chart I've found this engine for $200, $280, $179, $169, $165 so i was just wondering if thats the cheapest i can get or if theres a place that sell em cheaper cause i think I've heard from somewhere someone has seen them for around 145 so i just wanna make sure I'm getting the best deal without spending more money for no reason

EDIT: Just founr one for $149 on stormerhobbies is that the cheapest I'm gunna get?

How much is it worth to you to save $4 on that engine? I mean if you're going to be using more than $4 worth of your time searching then saving the $4 seems pointless. :2cents:

when u say ur 2.5 kicked the bucked what do u ,mean exaCTLY

LIKE WOULD A NEW PISTON AND SLEVE FIX IT? IF SO i might be interested in it if your not gonna fix it

it died and wont start i think it might be the needles or maybe the piston and sleeve i havnt lookd at it yet though i think I'm gunna keep it for a backup but havnt decided yet. Ill let ya know if i decide to sell it

you havent thought about getting the sirio piston/sleeve setup for ur 2.5?

was it fast before when it was running wit the sirio? i am serously thinking of doing that convo, just after I'm done putting the FRONT back onto my chassis, with new bulks and linkages and skids, NOW I HATE OUR JUNCTION BOX!!!
sheesh...
I'm okay

yes it deff gave it more power all out through the top and bottom end

The werks picco .21 med block is the shiznit. Use the sirio big bore pipe 18 tooth clutch bell 70 tooth spur and wheelies all day. Mad speed outruns my friends sirio 18 hands down. Just plain wicked!!!!!!!!:winnar:

question
the piston and sleeve will work in the 2.5 and if yes does it still have the overheating issue.
also anybody knows the names of any rc books that tell you what will work with what, as I'm having surgery on my foot and gonna need some reading material
