I am pretty New to the off Road stuff, i have mainly messed around with on-road touring cars. i was interested in picking your guys brains about Which Off-road car was best to start out with in about the 200-400 dollor range. any insite is appreciated.Thankz

I love my RC10GT to death. And from what I've read it's won the most titles :D

It's quite the unbreakable one with the RPM parts that I've got on it. And I can dust ALOT of the competition. And the handling is just... ohhhh so nice :)

He had a GREAAT day with his today to boot!

The RC10GT and the XXX-NT are the two best stadium trucks in my opinion.

The TMaxx and the Savage are the two best monster trucks out right now (as best I have seen). Although i can't wait to the the BIG OFNA and the new AE truck.

The 8th scale buggies are pissed off demons on wheels! OFNA, GS and KYOSHO are some of my favorites. granted, these are offroad, but, if you plan on some VERY rough terrain, you may want to go monster truck.

Where do you want to be able to drive it? Describe the terrain.

All 3 is best way to go a buggy a Staduim truck and monster truck then you allwyas got something to run

I think you're starting to sound like tony the tiger with that "GREAAT" :D

And yes it was an excellent day. I had many of people drooling. Even the LHS owner was telling me what an excellent show I was providing. If he wasn't running the same crystal as me, he would of raced me :D

I wanted to run the car in parks with lots of soil and tiny rocks all around. mostly in sand and Grass combo.

My RC10 goes everywhere around here. Grass, leaves, dirt, sand, mud, ditches, pavement, gravel roads, hillclimbs, even to the track. Get some nice tires on an RC10 and you'd have a blast!

And Çh®i§tiªñ is everybit right in my opinion. The RC10GT and the Losi XXXnt are the best. I personally LOVE the RC10. I get GREAT handling on ANY terrain, and excellent traction. I can't seem to get it stuck without it being on an insane hill or something of the such.

Today the track was really broken up with loose soil. Me and the losi that were there were doing great, I had the definete advantage in traction and handling. :) Specially in the triples straight at the track. I was more of a "powder" than anything. I could ditch him evertime. I say it's the little more wieght I have, but even with the dumb motor I have, I still beat him out of the hole because of the traction. We were running very similar treads. :) I'd say for sand and stuff, my personal opinion would say the RC10, for the pavement.. I'd go with a losi, since the traction difference from the wieght would be VERY minimal and the losi would probably be able to have an advantage with the power to wieght ratio. :) I could fix that, but I'm a dirt burner :D

As for the buggies. Heck way they are. They are insane! They don't handle anything like a stadium truck. I like them, but they are TOO fast for the handling to me. I'm not putting them down or anything, but I'd stick with a stadium before I got a buggy. :) That's me though. You may like that. Though, I wouldn't mind having an OFNA buggy to play around with :D

And monster trucks. YEAH!!! They are a ball to play with. Not much for the handling. I'd say they are more like.. an oversized truck that is tooo overpowered and has a very high center of gravity, but will go just about anywhere. Rocks... hills... Tree's, I've seen T-maxx's do them all :D

Another vote for the AE or Losi trucks...

Ruslter's are pretty cool too... *ducks* but mainly for bashing.

what about the sport maxx??? its in your price range. can later be made 4x4........

Hmmm, those Sportmaxx's look pretty cool, not too mention, if I had a maxx, I would want it to be 2wd...

T-maxx's stink in 2 wheel drive mode :D They sping toooo much. :) But it is an idea. :) Remember though, it still is a Monster Truck. :P

i have heard rave reviews from ALOT of people on this truck. looks like its the real deal

between those two go with the xxxnt sport. has a nice radio and is more refined (and has newer design) and alot better motor than the gt

I know plenty of people who would argue that point about the motor :D. I'll even say, that AE motor had alot more power than this TRX .15 pro I have now. This one guy had one put on his factory team RC10. Changed the head, and boy the thing ran like nothing else. It was bad. It could spin a set of proline super spikes on anything! Even blacktop :D

As for that. The losi comes with a nice radio yeah. But in my opinion, that's not as important as the truck. I'll state this one thing. The three people I've talked too who race thier losi's have told me basically the same thing. Keeping it together on "this" track is really difficult. They are lighter, that is what I would guess they meant. There is a pic of the local track in my gallery. And my RC10 does a heck of a job running it. Even with the POS traxxas steering servo I'm running :D

6 of one and half dozen of the other.

its like the Coke and Pepsi drinker.

Bud and Coors....

RC10 and XXX-NT

A lot of guys are loyal to either one or the other. Bottom line is they are both KICKASS and undboubtedly the best stadium trucks out there. So you can't go wrong either way.

Damn right Christian. I was pointing out the fact about the local track here. Most people like the heavy cars to run. Since the jumps are worse than most bashers will ever see, this makes things a little more difficult to decide upon. I wouldn't doubt a losi and an RC10 would be about the same on a perfect track. But who ever see's those anymore? hehe Unless you're a pro driver, then most likely you will never see a "perfect" track. It's all in what you like.

The RC10 is a little heavier, making the "sticking" feeling work a little better than the losi, but that gives the losi the advantage for the power to wieght ratio. This is more or less my opinion on it. Just wanting to help someone out. Now if I was just going to race on an oval, I'd definetly pick a losi, and make it perfect for an oval :D But for bashing, I'd take my RC10 before I'd take anything else. Even those things you guys call bricks :D
