what is the best glow plug or the most durable one i need to get for my tmaxx 3.3? thanks alot guys, also I'm looking at some rpm arms, but i looked at center cvds what do yall recommend traxxas center cvds? show me if you wouldnt mind. thanks again

oh and my tmaxx 3.3 has the 2.5 chassis so I'm not sure which one to get how about rdlogics? thanks
 
I like O'donnell red's, # 77, or O.S. lc3/4's in my 3.3's. TRX cvd's on all four corners and I have mip centers but there are better choices.
 
thanks so much for replying! okay so what do you think about lc4s i think ill go with them then, and cvds, i was only looking at the center ones, i guess the bigger thicker revo spec outer shafts will hold up fine..but for now ill go with the centers, so what are some of the best brands i can get i want a pair that i will not have any problems with. tell me what any of you guys recommend! thanks:D
 
Honestly the center shafts are plenty strong I would stick with them. I do have vantage centers on my 2.5 revo they seem to be pretty good so far.

oh yea I'm definately getting the lc4 plug and like i said I'm looking at those cvs I'm getting those.. but I'm not 100 percent sure theyll work without mods considering my truck is a conversion, much help with this appreciatted!! my truck has the 4907 diffs 3.3 motor resonator pipe, 4909 tranny 2.5 chassis so the 4949R should work right guys thanks!
 
I run 4908 rear shafts in both the front and rear of my original E maxx and 2.5 Maxx. My buddy with a brushless E Maxx on 6s runs the stock shafts too. They hold up quite well to his no stop tire shredding on the road. They do twist and break eventually though. We find them to be good "fuses". A very cheap part that gives out before diffs and the tranny. I've had a Traxxas medium plug in my worn out 2.5 for over a year and roughly 1 1/2 gallons of fuel. Killed a couple of them in a hurry before i sealed the engine and got it running right.:)

So do you think that those 4949R traxxas cvs will be a good option? If I get those I shouldn't have any problems right, I already have the 4907 revo spec diffs and outer shafts... Good choice? Or will that transfer problems? Thanks!
 
It's usually inevitable that load and stress transfers when a component is beefed up. A 3.3 shouldn't be blowing through shafts too quickly though. Unless your running over sized tires or have a tight slipper with abusive driving. Landing off of big jumps on the throttle and what not. I'm not sure of all the variations of the model numbers on the Maxx's. All I know is the 4910 is original and the 4908 is 3.3, big shafts, extended and forward only.:)

been running traxxas 3232x on 40% for 7-8 tanks. how ever there may be better plugs
 
My T-MAXX 3.3 and my Savage X 4.6 both run great on LC4s with 20% nitro. The Maxx has been running the same plug since April and I know I've put at least 10 tanks through it since then.
 
I assume the LC4 is cooler than the LC3? I used the LC3 and it was advertised as "hot" and the engine did in fact run hot - too hot.

I'm using Traxxas Long-medium right now (cool?) and it's been good, but at $7 a piece, i'd like to go another route....
 
The LC4 is the medium plug so yes it is cooler I only use the LC3 in the winter time when it's cold out and have to richen it up a lot to compensate for the colder denser air. Yeah you're gonna pay 6-8 bucks for them there is no such thing as a cheap glow plug. I usually just plan on picking up 1 if not 2 plugs every time i go to the hobby shop before I know it I've got 6 or 8 of them stashed away so I'm stocked up on them for awhile.

glow plug trouble

i just got a t-maxx 3.3 monday and it started running great tuned good, then once i started to lean it out I've gone thru atleast 5 or more glow plugs and I've richened it up and it does the same thing. itll die and wont start, ill check the plug and its dead any suggs on what i should do its getting irritating i just wanna bash around
 
Glow Plug

We use only Merlin Glow Plugs. They last forever as long as you have the motor tuned properly. We Also run 15 percent Nitro made by S&W Fuels. Our trucks keep a tune very well.:D
