I personally like the Picco 26. It will accept the roto start no problems. I also understand the XTM 24/7 will as well and seems to be a good option for it as well. Great motors from what I know of the picco. You can with user alkyula about the Xtm motor.
 
I am tuning an XTM 24-7 in a Savage ss. It is a biotch! I will get it once I get to a track that I can run it w/o the neighbors complaining.
 
I think there should be a stickey on the top of the reviews of different motors used for the savage....

just that the SAME question always asked over and over and over again....

gave my reviews on different motors well as different applications..

best engine is the one you can afford and how your tuning skills are...


with that said.. any will be good

How much to you want to spend? I mean you could literally get any back plate made for any engine to fit the roto start if you want to fork out the cash for custom parts.
