HI

I have just ordered my first savage ss w/o engine and i was wondering if any of you pro's out there have an idea for a good
engine with lots of low and middle end torque??
I am not overly concerned with topspeed, i am more into tearing
up my lawn:bling:

I am planing to spend around 350-400$.
Any help will be highly appriciated.

The Picco 26 has massive torque, maybe too much for your diffs. In .21, the OS RGxp has good low to mid and is real reliable.

xtm 24.7 pro/picco .26 -170$, complete front/rear maxximizer/4-spider diff mod- 120$ Hd dog dones- 30$ THS pipe -70$ =390$....or you can just do the 4-spider mod with stock cases which comes out to 290$......which afterwards you will be ready to rock...

torque engine

The new WERKS P3 would be good. It puts out more hp. when compared to the Picco's and Wasp's. It also does it at a lower RPM...33k instead of 37k.

Any high performance engine will fit this requirement, especially if you couple it with proper gearing for low to mid end grunt. That translates to a clutch bell with fewer teeth and a spur gear with more teeth than stock.
