I guess it depends what terain the track is. Weather you want torque or top nd makes a big difference, on all rigs.
 
Factory gearing @ 38/15 is fine for most.The close ratio tranny option is generally what you want for the track also.Revo 3.3 has wide ratio from factory.I run a 38/14 close ratio.I would say our track is tight to meduim in size with many jumps ect.Check out the Pit Pass on www.traxxas.com
