Whats the best battery, power-wise and that holds a good charge, to put into an electric car? Also looking to use these batteries in an EZ charge starter for Nitro.

What battery would you recommend? Right now, I'm using about a 3yr old 1500mAh 6-Cell Ni-cd pack, from Dynamite, so I desperatly need new ones.

For use in your car AND the electric starter for your nitro, you have a wide range of nimh battery brands to choose from. I would not run a lipo pack on your electric starter because it would be difficult to determine when the pack is low on voltage.

Shoot for a nimh pack that has the greatest capacity you can afford.

Dom is right (as a electric guru should be!) get the biggest and best you can afford. www.cheapbatteriepacks.com is a good place IMO for decent packs at an affordable price.

Personally I run 3600 mAh 6 cells now and am ordering 5000 mAh 7 cells.

For the starter I still run 1500 mAh because anything bigger seems to be too much torque. Again IMO.

Yea, the charger is great, but the batteries I have there are about 3yrs old and hold no charge anymore.

buy some elite 5000mah cells and make your own pack(nimh) they are only 5.00 per cell so you can make the best 6 cell nimh possible pack and it only cost 30 bucks

He put batterie.

Anyways, I agree. Getting the 5000 MaH cells and making them yourself, but you will need lots of equipment. You need a discharge tray to get all the cells to the right amount. Then you need to buy some battery bars and wire. You also need to know how to solder.
