Sup guys,

I'm definitley starting to agree with some in that you either get a good or bad 2.5 engine from Traxxas!! While it can be a pain in the ass to tune I seem to have gotten a GOOD one but it still runs way to hot for my taste.

The stock heat sink head could definitley be better IMHO and I was curious if anyone was running this head and if so what they thought of it??? http://www.novarcproducts.com/racepro.html

Allot of my buddies are very happy with their Harcore heads but I was curious the one from NovaRC is better?
 
i have heard that they nova heads are very good. i am looking to get one for me 24.7 engine very soon.

those are pretty nice looking, how do those work?. o ya wdavidhicks, how do u make it too where u can see my signature. i have the picture in my gallary that i want there but i can't get it there.

I had to replace my heat sink only because I cross-threaded the original and took a sliver of aluminum out of the mating surface that contacts the copper gasket. The one that I linked you to has a button that fits underneath the sink. The button actually seals to the head with the copper gasket when the heat sink is bolted down on top of it. So the next time I decide to cross-thread a glow plug I only have to replace the button!

i still like the nova heads the best, my friend had gotten one and it improved the heat reduction and even a little more power.

o ya wdavidhicks i dont need help on the sig anymore, i got it figured out like right after i asked u that.

I'm gonna try the Nova when I have some more money to spend on my maxx. The stock head definitley doesn't cut the mustard and most of the people I've talked to said the Nova cools even better then the Hardcore.....well c.

i was thinking about getting a Golden Horizon head. they are a little less expensive and i've heard some good things bout them. has anyone had any experience with these? tower has them for $30.
 
After MUCH research abroad I'm tottally sold on the Nova head......I've seen real world tests where it performed substantially better then the kick ass head from Harcore (mutant I believe). I'll let everyone know how it performed at my allititude (mile high) as soon as I get it. It wasn't cheap but I think I'm going to be very happy with it.

twholland - Sup dude, I've seen allot of heads around and heard lots of indifferent things but you wont know until you try....right!!!
