Hey guys i've been looking at the berg. i am new to rc crawlers so i'm looking for a good car because a grand or two just doesn't grow on trees to get another if one sucks. I've herd the berg is a good car but i'm not sure what electronis it requires or if it is 2.2 legal in a comp. also is it better to get the kit or build part by part. Thank you for you guys help

its better to get the axles and build it up piece by peice. the berg (moa) is the way to go imo. you will need two 35 or 45t motors, integy's will work fine wich are around $20 each, then you need a good esc, i suggest a sidewinder or mamba, I'm running a mamba personally. then you need a good servo obviously lol, a hobbico cs170 can be had for around $90 and is 333 oz a 6v. you will also need a Castle Creations BEC. then since you have a moa you might as well take advantage of being able to have front and rear dig. you can use a servo and two switches or you can buy a bad ass Punkrc dig unit for around $50, all electronic. very cool. and you will need a 3ps 3rd channel to run that.

You will also want to go with a good 3s 11.1 volt LiPo battery 1500mah - 2200mah are a good size, and a DX3R radio is a good choice that has a 3 position 3rd channel. and I agree with SNG build it up piece by piece, do some research on what kind of chassis, shocks, and links you want to run. You will also need to choose tires and wheels and a body as well.
