Today i was driving my t-maxx around and it suddenly quit out of nowhere... i thought, oh it might just be fuel. I checked and its all good... i start it again, it starts fine, but then i try to go and it seems to be stuck in... well... neutral. It just doesn't go in gear. Help is appreciated

chak your spur gear the truck will rev but wont go when it strips

look at your drive shaft it might be loose or your diff went out traxxas sent the parts to me for free

yeah, i checked it out today. Took apart the whole front end (everything but the motor pretty much...) and haven't found any broken parts... I'll continue to look...

I think I'm just going to go ahead and replace the whole transmission. Any ideas on good companies? I'm going steel everything.

you diff should be steel is that car 4wd or 2 but have you took ur trans apart and looked at everythaing

that transmison has a lot mor the a rustler the rustler only has 3 gears and the white holds all the diff gear in it

yes, its 4wd... pretty much all stock. I'm waiting for tomorrow to take apart my transmission. if i shake the transmission a little bit i don't hear anything. We'll just have to see i guess....

you diff gear should be inside a gear full of grease you wont hear anythaing

Go with Robinson Racing gears but make sure to leave one plastic (something has to break) I have them in my max and there great.. however I also had to upgrade to a aluminum tranny case because I was getting flex inside the case and it was eating up gears at first. hope this helps

I FOUND THE PROBLEM! I opened the tranny today and as i opened it a small pin fell. I looked at the pin and it looked like it was sheered at one end, so i looked further and found a gear that was loose. Lucky it was only that, but I'm still upgrading to steel. Thanks for your help!
