I have a basicly stock Maxx 2.5 that is running with a Sirio .18. I am using the ERP to get the new 3.3 engine. Just wondering what your opinions are as far as what to upgrade first on my truck to run this new powerhouse?

I would think not too much other than the few obvious weak links like the drive/axle shafts and the FOC.

I looked at the Traxxas site and it appears the new 3.3 T-Maxx will be on a longer chassis, with the Revo trans and Optidrive unit placed in a new Rx box.

Its tough to say, because the only people that have run the new mill are traxxs people. Give it a little time to see how well they do and people will talk about the power it puts out.

Also, where can you purchase these engines??? I haven't been able to find any price or anything on them...

I am not sure if you can "buy" them off the self, but they are available thru the trade in program that Traxxas has. The difference is like $130 + 5 for shipping.

I don't have any traxxas engines to send in though... I'm thinking about just buying a cheap Pro15 and trading it in for the 3.3...

Grab one off ebay for a couple bucks - I'm sure there's one on there for pennies, literally.

I'm tied between this and an OS CVRX .18. It all pends on what the reviews say.

Not any more. Every Traxxas fan has the same idea so now all Traxxas engines are going at a premium. I just bought a blown motor for $30:OMG: Still that is a $70 profit.
