Is it advisable to use a Bec for airtronics 2.4 Ghz in my savagex. i use a 6v 5c battery pack.
are bec only for electric and not for nitro? not too sure.
i think the airtronics does not feature BEC.
please advice.

Are you wanting to know about a BEC or a fail safe? You don't need a BEC because your battery is a 6 volt battery. A battery eliminator circuitry is to allow a person to run high voltage, say 7.4 or 11.1 volts, in the car, and then not have to have a seperate receiver pack. It takes the 11.1 volts and takes it down to 6 volts for the receiver and servos, or whatever voltage is programmed. I run a Castle BEC at 6 volts or 6.2 volts for comps, but most ESC's put out 5.1 volts except for Novak, they put out 6 volts stock.

my requiremnt is that if the volktage drops below 6v it should supply 6v volt power to the receiver. for that i will use a 7.2v pack. Will bec supply a 6v if the voltage drops?
