had a couple ?'s about bearings. what is the benifit of ceramic over metal? And is there realy that much noticeable drag on rubber shielded bearings? I need to buy some new wheel bearings and just wanted some info first. thanks in advance.

I'd assume that tolerances are closer and friction is reduced with the ceramic... Probably more resistant to heat as well.

I run ceramic bottom bracket bearings on my mountain bikes, which I coincidentally got form Boca Bearing, and I also see they have kits available for many RC's!
Pricey though... but maybe down the road I might pick one up for my SC10.

Did you ever get a bearing kit? From where and what price if you don't mind me asking?

still havent got around to it but am thinking about getting them from avid rc. they are a dollar a piece for rubber shielded and 5 bucks a piece for ceramic rubber shielded.
