Well that sucks what's the biggest engine that will accept it? Or is our easier to just go 3.3?

If you want quality and still be able to use the cheesy start then the engine hulkmaxx suggested is an awesome one,...os .21tm is another quality mill that is a "direct" drop in like the picco.21 mentioned,..if you don't wanna spend over 200$ then the 3.3 like mentioned would be your best bet, tuned right with a good pipe and properly broken in the 3.3 really isn't that bad of a mill

Yes the 3.3 Traxxas mills are decent engines. But op asked for biggest displacement that a cheezy start would fit. Mostly stock components will hold the Picco .21 maxx, minus the drives shafts will eventually need upgraded to CVD's. My buddy is running one in a revo 3.3 with only a FOC and Traxxas steel CVD's, with no issue's. And the Picco will last a lot longer than the Traxxas mill.

You shouldn't be eating the CVD's with a little ole 2.5, you have an issue that needs sorted, how exactly are you breaking them?

I'm slopping out the joint holes till it drops them. I have the resonator and am running 33%

Yeah u might be right. I drive it hard:doh:

What does it mean when the engine has a rough idle.

depends what you mean by "a rough idle"...

my revo used to have a "roughh idle" but that was down tothe glow plug and the idle speed screw being set so the idle was far too low.

It's like a lope to it. when the engine gets hot I can't keep tune it just boggs at wot till the engine gets wound up. Then progressively gets worse

When I was in cali it ran great and was running 30% blue thunder and ran out and bought some traxxas 33%. Got home to utah and now can't keep tune to save myself.

have you tried a different glow plug and followed the flow chart posted (somewhere) on this forum?

Boggig at WOT could be a case of either HSN or LSN being too rich or lean.

there are other things to consider such as sealing the engine with RTV against air leaks.

It runs damn good till this happens and once it does it. I can't get out out of it unless I wait for it to cool.
