Battery Question.

Alright, so today was the first time I got my BL motor running, until I found that the battery pack died quickly in about 5 minutes. I know my BL will suck up a lot of power, so I know I'm going to need a high Ma H battery pack. What should be the lowest Ma H I should get? Should I get a LiPo or a NiCaD?

I would stay with Nimh packs, if you can spring for it a lipo would be better. I would'nt go below 3000mAh, And go with a good quality cell.

What mAh is you battery now.

what BL motor are you referring to here? I'm intersted in what type of BL motor and battery combo only gave you 5 minutes of runtime. The only thing I've seen that would do that is the stock nimh battery with a BL motor in a Losi Micro-T. I tried that, didn't work very well. I think I got 9 minutes at best andit didn't even run very well because the nimh pack couldn't discharge fast enough for the motor. I got the lipo pack and bam, 20 minute run times and much more power.

Uhm, it was a CC Sidewinder 5700kv running on only a 1800 Ma H. Yeah, it's pretty low, haha. How much would a 3000+ Ma H cost me?

Yeah, your right...tha't's pretty low.

I don't know anything about Tenergy batteries but if they are reliable and live up to the specs shown it would be a good deal for sure. I think I paid $40 for a pair of 2400mAh Orion packs not too long ago. Got 'em at a Hobbytown so Iwouldn't be surprised if I overpaid.

Me neither, I just saw it on Ebay. Would it be cheaper to build a battery pack or just buy one?
