My brother got a battery pack from the lhs today (this one) and the stupid new guy said "it should fit" :nono:

f6_1.webp

and it had the white, regular connector. BEFORE testing to see if it would fit his rc18t, he soldered a deans connecter on. I went into the workshop and said "did you see if it fit first?" and he said "no" so i tried it, and guess what... doesn't fit. Has anyone made one of these configuration packs fit an 18t? Its too late to return it with the deans on it.

I was thinking it might fit if we took the case off? i don't know if that is bad or not (i don't do electric lol)

I've never seen that batery before but it most likley wont fit any way. I have mounted a full size battery on mine before. YOu need to cut out the back window on the body and zip tie it on. It worked for me and gave me 1 hour run times with it.

Why doesn't it fit? Or I should ask what makes it not fit?
I just laid out 7 cells of the same brand in my 18T and they fit fine. Mine were loose cells but there was some extra room front and back as well as a perfect fit side to side.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to make up a 7 cell pack just because you made this post. I hope my track mates on this forum dont read this. I need every advantage I can get.

lol^ Well, the post that hold the battery mount on are hitting the ends on the pack (length wise). I guess taking the case off would work.

If removing the case works, make sure you use some shoe goo to help hold the batteries together. You may try to remove just the case ends.

Keep us informed.

so eddy did you ever make one up?

did it fit, if so what would you sell packs for?

Tried it...... he couldn't fit in the closet.

LMAOF..

You guys are funny.....I have room full of stuff that I got just like this....

ME to LHS dude: "will this work in a Revo?

LHS DUDE: "Sure uh what truck now.....hmmmm oh yea should be fine."

ME: Are you sure because I have a 3.3 chassis?

LHS DUDE: "well yea those Traxxas parts are all interchangeable .....right??"

Here is where I am in trouble....I then rely on my own judgment and of course I am wrong and well you know the rest...

Talon

That pack will fit in an 18t. I have 2 of them and i just use a bit of velcro to hold them down.

sorry i should have been more clear with my question, i was wondering if it would fit without any mods/cutting to the chassis....& i think you covered it...

NO lol

I didn't mod the original chassis to run the 7-cell pack. It fit between the posts for the hold down strap. It fits well in the 3-racing aluminum chassis as well.

I know its an old thread but I have the exact same battery packs in my Rc18b and they fit fine . No modding required on my end .
