After I was finished with the 4th tank of the break-in process, I noticed the power LED on the Opti Drive was flashing red. So I had to charge it before I could run the fifth and final break in tank. I charged it up for the first time just before I started the break-in. I let the charger LED turn solid before I removed the plug so it should've been fully charged. Also, after my 6th tank of gas, the Opti Drive LED was flashing red again. Has this happened to anybody else? Any suggestions or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Drew

How long was your first charge? It will continue on a trickle for about 90 minutes after the LED goes solid green. Also, are your steering servos fighting each other? With the not running and sitting on all fours do you hear the servos humming. I adjusted mine and it made a difference for sure. If you have a regular charger you want to try it as well, IMO the one that comes with the truck doesn't do a very good job.

Yes, there is definitely a humming noise coming from the steering servos. I asked the people at HobbyTown and they said not to worry about it. Sometimes it will stop for a few seconds but then there will be a constant humming noise. How were you able to stop them from fighting each other? And yes, I do have a regular peak charger that I use for the EZ start battery pack. Can I use it? What Amp do I set it for?

Thanks for your help,
Drew

Make sure you set the charger for NiMH and charge @ 1.0A. What kind of charger is it? I'm sure your probably using a NiCD for your ez start so you don't want to confuse the two. As far as the steering goes I took the horns off each servo and had the trim set to zero. Put one horn on and then the next. Just doing that took out a bunch of noise. Then you can adjust the link if need be to fine tune it. I noticed longer run time and a lot less noise after doing that.
