Any of the rechargeable batteries on the market should work. You would just need to get an external charger for them.
 
I was looking for a pack, but I can't find any anywhere. So if the other side isn't for a rechargable pack, what's it for?
 
The original TQ TX used 8 batteries. The new 2.4 TQ only uses the 4. They both share the same case.
 
Yeah, I had the old TQ and I have the new one now. The battery compartment has a spot for 4 batteries and then the other half has a little plug and looks about big enough for a pack, that's why I thought there was one
 
i use rechargeable batteries in my with the external charger for my radio and camera, works great and save a ton of cash if you forget to turn the units off
