On my spare parts web site, they offer bearings (oil or ball) in 4 sizes,..15, 10, 5, and 4.
Can anyone tell me where each size is located on the car?

This isn't a test....I ordered some spares and wondered where they went. I'm sure in time I'll find out, like with the clutch bell bearings. I was just digging for one more piece of information.

Think I should replace all the oil bearings with ball?????

Thanks
GHM

If it was me I would replace them with what was in them. oil bearing w/ oil bearing... its worked this long.

I think oil bearing is referring to what they call an oilite bearing which is really only a bushing.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Tamiya calling bushings oilite bearings.

Robmob is correct. They are bronze bushings impregnated with oil, and as they warm up, they ooze out lube, keeping them cool.
Ball bearings are ALWAYS the way to go. The main ones you should replace are in the axle carriers and there are usually 2 for each corner.
If you have your manual, it will give you the correct size. If not, click on the Team FastEddy sponsor link and download it, and while you're there, you can order some great parts, including the bearings.
Tell him you know me. It will get you nothing extra.

Yeah, Eddy charges anyone double that admits to knowing Rolex. So most of us say Rolex who? j/k. Eddy always throws a few goodies in his shipments and is unusually quick about shipping.

I just put a Fast Eddy pro bearing set in the baja and the quality was spectacular. They were SOOOO much nicer than the stock bearings, and he shipped them very quickly and put lots of free stuff in the box. After seeing the quality of these bearings and the time and effort that Eddy puts into bettering our hobby, I will order any bearings and screws that I can from his company.

I have no manual with this car. After looking at Team FastEddy's site, I see a 4mm but no 15mm or 10mm bearings. I'm sure I'm reading something wrong.
I just sent them an email asking for some info.
I'd love to have a complete set of bearings on hand in case (when) one goes or while I'm rebuilding (again) I see one of the bushings I could switch it out.But I don't know what to order without stripping it down and measuring for size.

I'm sure he'll take care of you since you emailed him.

He did.
Here's his reply.

"Use a caliper or a ruler that shows in metric.
The smaller number is the inside bearing measurement and the larger
number is the outside. The last number is the width.

You will need to measure them and count the number of each size.
Usually there are 8 of the same size for the wheels 1 inner and one
outer per axial.
There are usually a few bearings inside the transmission, diffs, or
pulleys depending on the kind of RC you have.

Measure them up and Ill get them out to you."

So the 15, 10, 4 that I thought were 3 different sizes are different dimensions of one bearing.
Thanks Eddy!
