does anyone know if wheels off a savage fit a baja 5b i have a savage i am just waiting to get a baja and wondering if they fit thanks

no they wont fit. they do make an adapter to run the smaller hubs tho.. i can promise that you arent going to want to run those tires anyway. they will last about 10 minutes. your stock 5b tires wont last long either. they may rip under hard pressure. taping the inside if the tire helps. as well as taping the foams. when the foams get wet they turn to dust! taping them stops that. also helps with tire "balloning". for better tires check out hostile tires or proline badlands.

Yeah the stock Dirt Busters wear really fast and the rear one tore the sidewall on only my second run :\

But yeah like he said you'll need an adaptor.

oh ok cool i dont hve the baja just yet i was just thinking about wheel and tire combos thanks guys i will check out the pro line

The Proline Badlands are very nice tires. They provide excellent grip and excellent tread life. They also fit the stock 5b beadlocks so no need to buy new rims.
i agree with the prolines too. they also come with better foam insert the dont crap on ya. just have to keep them off the pavement or they wont last long..

Yeah the Baja just isn't a good street rig unless you've actually got street tires on it. The 2wd tears up the rear treads fast on the concrete with the amount of power the 26SS has.

I can tell you that the Badlands hold up much better on any surface than the stockers. Even street driving isn't killing them too bad for me, although I have learned to go slow on takeoff and steadily increase throttle. It's the punching the throttle that wears them down.

Really??

I went threw badlands in maybe 5 rips. I thought they were the worse tires yet. They worked well when they were new though.

I have the Hostile MX Knobbies and they are great tires. Great traction and loads of life.

Also besides from just the wear of the tires (Savage) those rims won't hold up to the baja weight. Even then 40 series which they do make adapters for usally split under normal baja bashing.

ya most every one i know that ran badland, ran them until they couldnt run them anymore.
and that was anywhere between 5 laps, and maybe 1/2 a tank max.

they suck and arnt worth the bag they come in. maybe the 5T tires will be better, but i somehow really doubt it.

Wicked is right. get some Hostiles to suit your need. Hostile also has New Foams available.
soft (like low airpressure in tire)
med (medium tire pressure )
hard (high tire pressure)
and just realeased the Zero Growth Foams in the same options
s/m/h

the Zero Growth foams are 38.00, the Regular Hostiles are 25.00, compared to the 35.00 for the stock HPI foams.

Wow, Badlands really are that bad? Well, I haven't had any problems with mine after 3 tanks with them. I guess I don't drive my Baja as hard as you do :\

I was actually going to go with the Hostiles but thought the Prolines looked better. eh...

EDIT: where can I get some Hostile tires anyways? The website doesn't have any listed.

Well for sure those will be my next tires if these Prolines go bad as fast as you say they will. I'm on a bit of a slow budget until I either get hired or the grass starts growing again :\
